Optimization of IR toolkit LEMUR/INDRI for HPC platform ALTIX
Project
The project goal is to extend the well-know Information Retrieval toolkit, Lemur/Indri, in such a way
that it can be used with a super-computing infrastructure. This includes the distribution of the
indexing process and resulting indexes as well as the parallelization of query processing itself.
As a result, users may efficiently search very large document collections on a scalable
Information Retrieval service.
