Distributed Extension of the Information Retrieval platform TERRIER
Project
The project goal is to extend the well-know Information Retrieval toolkit Terrier in such a way
that it can be employed in a distributed fashion in a parallelized way on a super-computing
infrastructure. This includes the distribution of the indexing process and resulting indexes as
well as the parallelization of query expansion algorithms and the query processing itself. As a
result, users may efficiently search very large document collections on a scalable Information
Retrieval service.
