Data Collections

The IRF provides a number of test data collections that have either been developed by the IRF, by one of its members or by third parties. These data collections can be accessed by IRF members for scientific experimentation and evaluation.

Supercomputer

The use of sophisticated semantic algorithms implies much better results in many IR applications than simple text indexation. Applying these methods to large corpora, substantial computing capacity is needed. In fact, experimental handling of data on a Terabyte scale requires a supercomputing infrastructure.

Framework

The IRF provides its scientific members with a number of resources that might be helpful for experimentations on the supercomputing infrastructure.
