Symposium StructureThe symposium was held over two days. It was divided into 5 main sessions comprising a total of 13 topics. Each topic was split into 2 speaker slots, allocated to A) IP professionals, who presented the most urgent problems and issues they are faced with using current data bases, technologies & tools; and B) IR scientists who gave an introduction into the state-of-the-art in information retrieval technologies for the particular problem, or a potential method of resolution. Speakers have been asked to prepare presentations lasting no more than 15 minutes, to allow sufficient time for Q&A sessions after each topic slots.
